William C. Kern, "Poll" "Apple", age 93 died Thursday April 23, 2009 at Roxborough Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his sister Anna Wiedmann and niece Linda. "Apple" was an avid golfer, gardener and bowler. He was a regular on the Walnut Lane golf course and McDonald's for coffee. He served in the Pacific theater during WWII. Family will greet friends from 11:30-1 on Sunday April 26, in the family room of Bethany Lutheran Church, 401 Martin St, Phila., Pa 19128, Int Private. Donations in Apple's name to Bethany Lutheran Church, address above would be appreciated by his family.
