Obituary of Louise Zabor

Zabor Louise Hildegard von Bosse She had a smile for everyone and was a true friend to many. Born 1917, “Fritz” grew up at The Wartburg Children’s Home in Mt. Vernon NY, where her father, the late Rev. Siegmund George von Bosse, was Director. Her mother was the late Irma Vieser von Bosse. They moved to Roxborough when her father became pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church. Louise attended Roxborough High School 1934-36. She graduated from Gettysburg College, and her marriage to John “Jack” Brosz Zabor lasted until his death in 1980. Children are: Emily Susan, Margaret Ruth and the late Heather Patricia Zabor. Louise centered her life around Roxborough and Wissahickon and was active in community organizations. She worked for the state Department of Public Welfare (Assistance) 1959 to 1978 and was an active volunteer in retirement. In 2003 she moved to Cathedral Village. She passed away peacefully on October 27, 2009. She was 92 years old. At her request, there are no services. Contributions may be made in her name to the SPCA or any animal shelter.
