Obituary of Ellen Brady
Ellen Leigh, BSN, MSN, ACNPCS, Suddenly on October 27, 2004, at home,. Beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Ellen was the youngest child of Joan (nee Fee) and Joseph R. Brady. Dear sister of Toni Laskey (Jim), Mark (Tish), Barry (Marcia), and the late Joseph L. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
At the time of her death, Ellen was a Nurse Practitioner at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, Pa. She graduated from Merion Mercy Academy in June of 1983 and from Holy Family University, Philadelphia in June of 1987. Ellen spent 3 years in the U.S. Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant. When she returned home, she worked for University of Pennsylvania specializing in trauma and attended classes there, fulfilling requirements for Nurse Practitioners Program in 1996. Ellen had traveled extensively in the U.S. and Europe. She was an avid sports fan, an affectionate dog owner and loved to celebrate life and spread cheer to all she encountered.
Family and friends are invited to her viewing Monday eve 7-9 PM and Tuesday Morn 8:30 AM at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 425 Lyceum Ave. Rox. and to participate in her funeral mass 10 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, Int. Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Ellen Brady Scholarship Fund, c/o Chester County Hospital, 701 E. Marshall St West Chester Pa 19380
