So sorry I could not be there to say goodbye to you Peg. My gosh you were a trip. I was to you "my fellow little flower sister" You would tease me often after you left Dilworth that I put you into Firement. (fired into Retirement). I came to Bible study at your house after that - Hoping you would forgive me... hahha Love you my dear Margaret and it is a gift that you are at peace.

Funny Moments:
My sister Peggy's first cooked Thanksgiving Dinner wherein she forgot to remove the packaged giblets and hurried, stuffed to capacity Mr. Turkey to low and behold blew open the oven door and Mr. Turkey landed on the kitchen floor Peg saying "Cheesestake for everyone". This was Peg.
Her infamous hat collections from the largest Texas rubber hat to her traditional Birthday Hat (I sent her this) to the Princess hats for her and the girls.
The best memory was seeing Peggy and my Dad on her Wedding Day to Bob on November 18th dancing to the song: "Daddy's Little Girl"

Bobby Cannon said it all. Peg was a huge part of our lives. I want to thank Bob, Beth, Mark, Vincent and Meg for sharing their Wife/Mom with all of us, the former young people of St. John Baptist CYO. She unstood us and accepted us for being us. How??She was Unconditional Love and Committment. Love you Peg!! Until we meet again, Rest in the Peace of God. Denny

Peggy gave us her warmth, intellect, faithfulness and unstoppable humor. My Dad's cousin, whom he loved dearly, was our cousin too! "Remember the good times; it makes life better". -Peggy Marasco

I am a little stunned, having just seen the notice in the Inquirer. It's hard to put into words all of the roles that Peg played in my life ... and in the lives of many of us. She was like a second Mother to me back in my CYO days. She was a "guide" through my teen years, watching carefully while giving me room to be me. She kept sanity alive in me (or at least tried to) when I was my craziest. She was my cheerleader when I did well. She was the stern look that I needed when I went "too far". She helped to make me the person I am today.
When I remember Peg most, I'll be thinking of the many days and nights we spent in her kitchen watching her cook ... in the dishwasher, those Sunday nights when I learned how to be one of the best hotdog pushers St. John's Bingo ever had, and the "role of a lifetime" I had when I got to play her in our CYO "Docudrama" (Did we ever give it a name?). When I remember Peg, I;ll remember the love - mostly the love - that she shared with me.
Thank you, Bob and family ... for sharing Peg with all of us kids. My thoughts and prayers are with you now and always! She is safe in heaven now.
