Christin, I can't believe you are no longer with us....You have such a beautiful soul and I'll cherish the times we had together running, biking, going to races, happy hour....all of it. I remember the conversations we had...many fun and lighthearted and others that were more serious and you gave me the guidance and legal advice that I needed. . You were there for me and helped me through one of the toughest times in my life and I'll never forget that. Thank you for your calm, loving guidance. I have so many other memories that came flooding back in the last 24 hours since I received the sad news.....like the time you babysat Bella for us over the weekend when we were out of time, Bella will be 12 next month. I wish you could hold her again.....She has two fur brothers...Jake and Stevie. They would've love you too.
I found some pictures of some of the fun times we had and although I don't have pictures of everything we did, I have good memories of our time together. I love you and I miss you....just as so many of your other friends do. There is a void now without you on this earth but I believe you are finally at peace my sweet friend. I'll always remember you beautiful Christin.

Christin, you were and still are a big part of our lives. We shared so many training hours, talks, coffee and laughs together. We can’t believe you’re in another place so soon. There’s so much more we wanted to share with you, both joyous times and hardships. You were beautiful inside and out, intelligent, compassionate, giving, and a phenomenal athlete. We hope that you’re in a good place. Every time we run, bike or swim where we used to train, or have coffee and oatmeal at Starbucks after training, we’ll be thinking of you. Remember celebrating our triple October birthdays together every year? At every birthday, i’ll remember you. You were so great with my kiddos. They still remember the times you babysat them, and the American Girl doll you picked up for my daughter. When things were rough for us, you patiently listened and gave us sound advice both legal and personal. Christin, you left us here too soon, but you made a huge impact on all of our lives. We love you, miss you, and will always remember you.

You helped me train for my first triathlon and ran it with me even though I was slow as molasses. You mentored, coached, and cheered me on. You were a beautiful person inside and out, our "clique" just loved you so much.

I love you with my entire heart. You were my rock. I’ll never understand why you had to leave. I look back now and everything makes sense , but you know that. Now you’ll be with me eternally. I can feel your presence and I know everything is going to be okay . I just wish you were able to see my experience life. Right when you left I found someone decent. Funny how things work. I’m so lost without you but I know your here so I’m doing okay . I wish I just had one more chance to sit and talk with you. You were AMAZING I love you endlessly, forever. We always use to talk about the universe and death. I hope wherever you are , that your at peace. That’s what you truly deserve. I never thought you would leave me. I am going to make you proud. I was fortunate to have known Christin as a law school classmate and colleague at the public defender's office. Law students and lawyers are usually competitive, but Christin was known for sharing her skills and resources. When I needed someone to play the witness in a law school mock trial, Christin recruited her sister Kate. When the public defenders needed training in immigration law, Christin invited her mom to speak to the whole office. Christin was one of the few Spanish speaking attorneys at the public defenders, and she was always available to help interpret for her monolingual co-workers, no matter how busy she was. We were co-counsel on a memorable felony trial where the defendant commented, "You ladies kicked off your high heels and really fought for me!" That's how I will remember Christin. She would kick off her high heels and fight for what she believed in. She was a fierce advocate for the underdog. She will be missed.
