Elaine and her family spent weekends in Galloway Township in this old church. Constructed in 1927 and sold to Elaine’s father John Lecky in 1943.
This group picture on the front steps of that building was taken a couple of years later by her mother Catherine. Pictured from the left is her father John, her uncle Bill Ems, and eating watermelon her cousin Bill Jr. , her Aunt Eunice Ems, third row down her cousins Barbara and Enice, Elaine and on the bottom step her sister Catherine and cousin Bob.

My Memom was a beautiful woman with a youthful soul (she hadn't aged since I was a baby). Whenever I visited my grandmother, the first place I'd look to find her was her garden. I used to sit with her and watch as she'd pick weeds and imperfections that laid amongst the garden. We used to sit together in the kitchen and look out the window to see the cardinals and blue jays that her garden would bring us. I took these moments for granted as I thought she would live forever. But even the strongest people eventually give in to their mortality.

Aunt Elaine had a warm demeanor and a soothing giggle. She would often ask us how we are doing when we would see her at St. John's. A childhood memory that stands out is the walk to her house on a crisp winter night for the Myers Christmas Eve party. Uncle Jack would be sitting under the cuckoo clock telling jokes and laughing loudly as Aunt Elaine worked the crowd.
She would feed us treats, but remind us not to give any to Dusty (the dog). I always feel the warmth of the Christmas spirit
when I think about these parties each year. We will miss you Aunt Elaine, may you be at peace.

Elaine Ann Lecky Myers: Daughter, Sister, Wife , Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister in Law, Aunt, Mother in Law, Aunt, Grand Aunt, Great Aunt and Godmother. These relationships have been the experiences of her life. I know that you will grieve each of you in your on way. Be assured that Elaine has been reunited with Her Husband Jack, Her Mother Catherine, Her Father John, Her Son in Law Dennis and all her other family and friends that have entered heaven before her.
Widowed at 47 Elaine persevered. She is strong, intelligent, independent and loving person who is family focused. We all have that empty feeling since she passed. We can start filling that emptiness by celebrating her life telling each stories about your experiences with her. Celebrate her legacy. She would want you to support each other at this time and going forward. This is what families do. We all love you Elaine.
