I met “V” when I started working as the receptionist/secretary in 2001 at Pennbrook Middle School.
He shared so many stories about Carol, daughters, grandchildren and son in laws over the years. He was always so very proud of all of them, they were his life.
He talked about Carol so much that I
had a question and asked “V” if I could call her. Well the rest is history.
From our Saturday mornings once a month at Barnes and Noble Carol, Nick and I would meet. Later Kay Beard a teacher friend joined us. When he wasn’t driving anymore Kay and I went to their home for our get togethers.
Rest in Peace Nick, you gave me a gift of knowing you and also having a lifelong friendship with Carol.
Love, Ann Behrens

I had the pleasure of working with Nick and it was always an adventure. I will cherish the memories of teaching him how to use the security cameras, making bets on golf, making fun of his coffee, and most of all Nick calling me "Meathead" as soon as I got to work! Rest in peace "V"

Nick was an incredible friend and influence. I cherish the time we spent together on his deck laughing and telling stories. He loved his family very much. Our time together was years ago, but the memories stay fresh in my heart and mind. I have told our stories to my children over and over again. I haven't laughed as hard as he and I did for a very long time. I am grateful for our time together.
